Sam Tunnell and 19-year-old Ron Berti met in the spring of 1963 while working as countertop fabricators. As employees of another company, Sam and Ron realized they had a great partnership and decided to start their own business. In September of 1968, Sam & Ron, Inc. opened in Sand City, California. We began serving the Monterey Peninsula and surrounding areas. Their precision in designing and fabricating custom laminate and solid surface countertops soon earned Sam & Ron, Inc. a reputation for timely, beautiful, quality work and professional service. In 1995, Sam & Ron, Inc. added to the business and began designing and building custom cabinetry of the finest quality. Both their residential and commercial work is well-known. It can be seen throughout the peninsula and has appeared in many publications.

Sam & Ron, Inc. became a true family business when Ron's wife, JoAnn, and his two sons, Ronnie and Scott, joined the team. Sam passed away in 2003, but Ron continues serving the peninsula with nearly 50 years of knowledge and the highest quality craftsmanship. Sam & Ron, Inc. encompasses a crew of the most professional designers, fabricators, and installers in the business.
